for some strange reason, Burritoville is closed on December 25th, so we are going to do Rk! a week early, here`s the details:

Two workshops, 2:30pm until 6:30pm:
1 making tree ornaments inspired by your own unique joy during winter dark times
2 decorating and painting your house slippers

DIY RAD lecture 3:30pm

Here`s the info for our next crafty social at Burritoville 2055 Bishop, 3rd floor
Saturday OCTOBER 30th, 2010

A couple of things (you have the choice):
-Sewing fabric masks with Paula
-Knitting coffee cozies with Larissa
-and creating little fabric ghosts with Karine

*We will provide all the material. Bring fabric or yarn if you feel inspired. We take donation$*

This month: Jordon on Cultural Appropriation

Bomb the streets in masks and hang the little ghosts through downtown

DAIKON @ Montreal, Quebec [Jun. 17th, 2010|03:12 am]
An artsy, crafty place for Montrealers
Daikon is a one day convention catering to Anime and Asian Entertainment in the Montreal downtown area. Daikon will be held on July 3rd, 2010, at the Holiday Inn, 420 Sherbrooke West , Montreal, Quebec.

Fans can enjoy screenings, gaming, exhibitors and more at Daikon. Daikon is a great way to kick off with the summer by hanging out and making new friends, spreading fandom and enjoying events.

A portion of the proceeds at Daikon 2010 will be donated to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.

There will be a raffle contest hosted at the convention. A draw will be made every 2 hours during the convention for prizes. For further contest details please visit our website.

Clever Cupcakes makes beautiful and delicious treats, and they are working to provide warmth to those coming from Haiti to Montreal:


Coats for Cupcakes!

On Sunday January 24, 2010 between 12-4pm we will be collecting coats for victims of the earthquake in Haiti arriving in Montreal. In exchange for a coat donation we will be offering a FREE box of 6 cupcakes!

All coats collected will be donated to Manteaux Manteaux's coat drive. In partnership with Bellingham Cleaners they will sort and professionally clean all donated coats before they are delivered to Sun Youth for distribution within the Haitian community.

If you are in Montreal and have a coat to donate we are conveniently located near Lionel Groulx metro. Please send an e-mail to info@clevercupcakes.com for the exact address and to confirm your donation so we have your box of cupcakes ready!

New craft fair next weekend! I'll be there :) [Nov. 30th, 2009|06:13 pm]

BESUTO Craft Show- A showcase of Montreal Crafters and Designers (some renowned, some obscure) featuring fair trade goods, international fundraising initiatives, and Afghani food. BESUTO is the Japanese word for best, and it's also the Japanese word for vest. BESUTO Craft Show is a non-profit organization developed by three former Concordians who wanted to create The no. 1 Craft Show of Westmount Adjacent. The 1st Annual BESUTO Craft Show will take place at The Trinity Memorial Church Hall, 5220 Sherbrooke Street West (corner of De Marlowe Ave. - One block from Vendome Metro), on December 4, 5, 6 (Friday 12 pm - 8 pm; Saturday 10am - 7 pm; Sunday 12:30 pm - 6 pm).
